Thank you, Jamie.
I hadn’t heard before about this song and its meaning. I probably should better listen to the texts of diverse pop-songs if even Boney M used this theme…
But only in the english Wikipedia is mentioned that this song was even sung by your employer:
“Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band covered this song in 1977″.
Still one personal remark:
I was a little bit astonished that your Christmas posts considered eminently the “profane” aspects of these holy-days.
(Compare my comments in your other blog).
Isn’t there a special Christian meaning in these days?
Of course there is, but I wasn’t trying to post a “Christian” greeting to my readers. Just a general wish of wellbeing.
While many of my posts on this blog are Christianity themed, this blog is not meant to be a “Christian” blog. The blog is meant to be more about me and what I’m thinking about. Since Christianity is such a big part of my life, it ends up showing up here a lot.

I wish you a great and recreative Christmas!
I am thinking and thinking…………….:
What is the connection between drums and Christmas?
(Sorry for my ignorance

There is a traditional Christmas carol called “The Little Drummer Boy.”
Wikipedia: Little Drummer Boy
Because of that, little toy drums are often associated with Christmas and are used as decorations.

A long list of interpreters is given in the german Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Drummer_Boy
